Amazing. This Roman aqueduct dates from 40BC and was responsible for bringing fresh water to the entire region. You start to think that no one knew shit back then. And then you learn that this aqueduct carried 4.4 million gallons of water a day and sloped only a few inches every kilometer. Incredible.
