I was impressed with the bright, vivid colours on the 650! Very nice for a cameraphone.

Cheers, Billy ;))

Thanks for the photos. Finally a usefull camera as opposed to the totally useless excuse for a camera they had there before.

2 questions for you:

1. How in the world does one get the kind folks at PalmOne to get him a 650?

2. Why in the world would anyone get excited about "tons of new bundled applications"? I would much rather get the option to get rid of some applications which are useless to me and use the free memory for other things which are usefull to me.

Hello,

I noticed the picture (some at least) were taken in Singapore (Takashimaya department store if I am correct).

Don't tell me you bought the Tre650 here in Singapore! I would be jealous...
(please do tell me, please do tell me! I'll go buy it first thing in the morning)

Thanks for posting those. The 650 pictures do look better. They still do have a slight blue cast to them though.

Very nice comparison, I've been waiting to see how the new 650 camera stacks up to the 600's. So far so good.

dude. So ace. I've used a treo off and on for an age, and its a great device, even if it does sometimes feel as though theyve just stuck basic phone functionality slap bang on top of a palm os. We wont get a ship of the Treo 650 here in the UK for a while, I wonder if you'd be up for doing a handset review moblog for us over at moblogUK ?

We do them for all the major handset manufacturers, and I for one have been hankering for a good look at the 650's imaging capabilities for a while.

btw, do you use QSET yet? It's an excellent app for further pushing the imaging of the treo's camera : http://www.bcbdev.com/ftp/QsetApp.prc

easy,

Alfie.
